project 3

skills used:

- extrudecrv: sizes vary, most of their sizes are edited according to model by gumball
- solid tools
- bounding box
- symmetry
- bend
- solidpointon
- splitedge
- boolean tools
- chamferedge
- wirecut
- subcrv
- blend
- zoomnaked

Capture.PNG

measurements:
- 10.8 cm vertically
- 10.1 cm horizontally

2.PNG

issues:

- after using blend on the outside edges, nakededges were created, preventing certain sections from booleanunion, but as long as those area's were overlapping a solid shape, they would print fine.

- blend and chamferedge only worked on small segments and took a lot of trial and error to get right.

- since you can't use symmetry tools on solid shapes, it was difficult to get certain measurements equal on both sides without making the entire shape in curves first, which was inconvenient for this design, so I had to eyeball it carefully.

- I had to use way too many layers to save prototypes of the design.

afterthoughts:

- since I ended up printing it fairly small, the details I made didn't show up very well (blend and chamferedge on the edge, specifically).

- if I were to do a 3D design like this again, I would use more surface tools to make creating the overall shape easier.

project 4

dasffffffffff.PNG

issues:

- the coins were supposed to print double sided, but were too small to maintain the detail.

- the lines after digitizing in corel had to be fixed, as they weren't completely smooth

dasfasfasfasfasfasfasfasfasfasf.PNG

- traced the designs in corel and used extrudecrv, size varies because it needed to be rescaled later
- extruded different sizes of the designs to add dimension
- used chamferedge on the fossil edges
- used align to lay everything down

measurements:
fossil: - 22.3 mm horizontal

           - 22.5 mm vertical

coin: - 19.9 mm horizontal and vertical

leaf: - 15.9 mm horizontal

        - 17.8 mm vertical

project 5

ac board.PNG

- Digitized a blank monopoly board template

- Ungrouped it

- Edited the nodes to make things even

- Digitized Animal Crossing logo and only kept the background, then put Nookopoly on it

- Digitized animal crossing character pngs from nookipedia.com

- Used lines as guidelines to keep things even and straight

- Most of the steps are just repetition, like digitizing and making things even

measurements:
fossil: - 22.3 mm horizontal

           - 22.5 mm vertical

coin: - 19.9 mm horizontal and vertical

leaf: - 15.9 mm horizontal

        - 17.8 mm vertical
